Samsung Announced a new smartphone in its mid-range series, which is known as Samsung Galaxy C8. It is the Chinese version of the Galaxy J7 Plus, which was recently launched in Thailand. It is expected to go on sale only in China but Samsung may launch it for global markets later this year.
Samsung Galaxy C8 measures 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and 180 grams in weight. It has a unibody metal design and also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button which is present on the front of the phone. The device will be available in Gold, Black and Rose Gold color variants.
Galaxy C8 has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED with 2.5D curved glass display. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa-Core (2.39GHz + 1.69GHz) 64-bit 16nm processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and ARM Mali T880 GPU. There is only one storage option available, 64GB which can be extended further up to 256GB via microSD card.
It is a dual SIM variant smartphone supports 4G VoLTE connectivity and out of the box, it will run on latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system, which could be getting further updates also- Android 8 Orio. This is the first smartphone from Samsung in its mid-range series which has a dual camera setup. It has a 13MP camera on the rear which comes with LED flash and f/1.7 aperture size and is accompanied with a 5MP secondary camera. On the front side for good selfies, there is a 16MP selfie camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture size.
To power the device there is a 3000mAh battery which can easily give you talk time up to 90 hours and standby up to 329 hours. There are connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, A-GPS and Micro USB port. The sensors present in it like Gyroscope, Magnetic sensor, Light sensor, Proximity and few more.
The South Korean Giant Samsung has not revealed the price of this yet but expected to be announced soon. We expect it may be priced at 390 USD (Approx. 25000 INR).
