A new Sony smartphone spotted on a benchmark website and this one appears to be quite an interesting listing. This Sony smartphone has already been spotted on Geekbench, the smartphone named as Sony Xperia XZ1. Once again the same device has made an appearance on GFXBench.
However, one of the noticeable difference which we have spotted this time around is that the Xperia XZ1 which has been spotted on the GFXNBench is running on Android 8.0 as supposed to the previously spotted one which was running on Android 7.1.1. Two variants of the smartphone have now been listed carrying the model number G8341 and G8342. It is expected that the latter one will be a Dual SIM variant.
As mentioned earlier, it has been reported that it is running on Android 8.0 and the caption reads Android Sony Edition, which is something new. From what it looks like, Sony will likely get rid of most of the bloat and skin and probably a near stock Android experience. However, do make a note that it is not officially confirmed and these are just speculations. Having said that, if you are wondering about its availability, then it looks like it will be launching at IFA 2017, so we hope to get more detailed info on this very soon.
